Laminated sheet (I) is claimed, comprising two outer layers (B) and a core (A). (A) contains a mixt. of (a) 50-90 wt.% Ca and/or Mg hydroxide or carbonate, (b) 5-47 wt.% filler and (c) 3-15 wt.% binder. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I), in which a fire retardant, a smoke suppressant and/or the smoke suppresssant with a dispersant is/are processed by milling and mixing, or by mixing, to form a premix which is then processed with cpds. (a) and filler (b) to give the core mixt.. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used as (pref. flexible) bulding material, cladding sheet, panelling on high buidlings, partition walls in buildings, in vehicle and ship construction and in equipment and machine prodn. (claimed). (I) is easily processed and esp. formed, can be bent or folded and complies with the requirements for non-flammable building materials (decompsn. of the CaCO3 etc. in case of fire release non-toxic, fire-inhibiting CO2).
