The vehicle signalling display is used to indicate to the vehicle driver the amount of noise generated by the vehicle engine, dependent on the acceleration. It employs a mechano-acoustic transducer (3) with an oscillating membrane (6) incorporated in the vehicle passenger space, coupled to the air intake line or the exhaust gas line for the IC engine via a pneumatic line containing a throttle (8) controlled in dependence on the engine acceleration. Pref. the throttle is controlled by an electric setting motor in response to a signal representing the depression of the vehicle accelerator pedal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides feedback signal to vehicle driver to give pleasant awareness of high-speed revolving engine esp. during acceleration. Keeps driver informed of engine running condition in car well insulated against internal and external noise.
