摘要 The system grips, lifts and transports profiled beams, esp. railway rails. It has a semi-automatic grab suspended from a hoist with jaws (1,2) extending downwards. The hoist travel movement is switched on, and is then automatically stopped, the grab being automatically lowered onto the rail. Lowering is automatically stopped. The drive mechanism closes the grab jaws, and is stopped automatically. The load is lifted, transported to destination and lowered, lowering being automatically stopped on reaching the supporting surface and the jaws are then opened. USE/ADVANTAGE - Remote-controlled rail-handling system in which operator needs no detailed view.
