A sealed transformer (1), such as is used for l.v.Halogen lighting, is encased in an insulating housing (4) with base-mounting fastening projections (3). Instead of the usual terminations for the transformer windings connection is made via U-formed insulated terminations (8) which clip over the housing sides and are held rigidly in position.The winding connections lead through the channel formed in the clip so as to be relieved of any external stresses that may fall on the external connection (8)
