A work scaffold (21) is set up on the outside of the building (10) having an enclosed work area which is in vacuum. The free asbestos material is removed first and the solid asbestos is then dissolved. After all the asbestos is removed form the building, the scaffolding housing is cleared of any remaining asbestos. The housing is then disassembled and the scaffolding is taken down to allow for the razing of the asbestos free building. USE/ADVANTAGE - It is a cost effective method which can be constructed easily and provides for re-useable material which has not been contaminated by asbestos.
