The light distributor has at least one light entry surface, and the radiation source is arranged outside the distributor body in the region of the light entry surface. The light distributor body (3) is plate-shaped and comprises non-diffusing and clear transparent material. The radiation surface (6) and/or the surface (7) opposite to it is totally or partly flat with a total reflection interrupting coating for improvement of the light distribution and for rear illumination of the indicator elements.
