Roller assembly - has support sections at carrier ends in a release fitting for rapid blanket change

The roller assembly with two rollers (1,2) in a vertical array, has support sections (6,7) at the ends of the carrier (4,4') directly coupled together with a release fitting for each carrier end (4,4'). The carrier for the lower roller (2) acts as a cantilever carrier, to pass to one end of the roller assembly, to be locked to a fixed section (8). Pref. at least one additional carrier (9) is fitted, parallel to the rollers (1,2) with a transport unit (10) to assemble and dismantle the lower roller (2). The additional carrier (9) acts as a cantilever carrier, bonded to a fixed section (8). The supports (6,7) for the upper and lower rollers are each secured to the other by U-shaped clamps screwed together. Each support (6,7) for the upper and lower rollers is connected by at least one longitudinal link, parallel to the pressure plane, with thickened ends as a shaped fit in recesses in the supports (6,7) and which can be pulled clear. USE/ADVANTAGE - The roller assembly is for the prodn. and working of web materials, and esp. paper. The assembly allows a rapid blanket change and occupies little space.
