The conical outer circumferential face of the shaft (11) fits against the conical inner circumferential face of the cylinder (10). The upper faces of the convex sections form part of the conical outer face whilst the upper faces of the convex sections form part of the conical inner face. During assembly the convex sections are coupled together with friction engagement so that the cylinder and shaft are also in friction engagement. When the shaft and cylinder rotate relative to each other the relative rotary position between the convex sections changes so that the cylinder and shaft are released from the friction coupling. ADVANTAGE- There is no need to replace parts or oil when reassembling the torque restrictor.
