摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a reflector excellent in durability by preventing the ultraviolet-ray absorbent layer of a reflector from being deteriorated by the heat from a lamp. CONSTITUTION:A reflector surface layer A constituted of a mirror surface layer 2, a protective layer 3, and a ultraviolet-ray absorbent layer 4 is formed on the inner face 1a of a base material 1. The mirror surface layer 2 is coated with a bright metal on a smooth surface 7, the protective layer 3 is coated on it, and the ultraviolet-ray absorbent layer 4 formed with a film containing the grains of zinc oxide (ZnO) or titanium oxide (TiO2) having a high ultraviolet- ray absorption factor is coated on the protective layer 3. The protective layer 3 is formed with a film made of a material having a thermal expansion coefficient higher than that of the ultraviolet-ray absorbent layer 4 and lower than that of the mirror surface layer 2, e.g. silica (SiO2). The difference of the thermal expansion coefficient between the respective layers of the reflector surface layer A is reduced, no excessive tension due to thermal expansion is applied, and the ultraviolet-ray absorbent layer 4 is prevented from being cracked or surface-peeled from the mirror surface layer 2.
