PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic recording disk of which traveling durability is excellent under a wide surroundings condition from a low temperatures up to a high temperatures, electromagnetic conversion characteristics such as overwrite characteristic, reproduction output, modulation and the like are good, density is high and capacity is large. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic layer which is composed of a nonmagnetic powder and a bonding-agent resin and a magnetic layer which is composed of a ferromagnetic powder and a bonding-agent resin are fromed on a nonmagnetic support body in this order. A magnetic recording disk is formed in the following manner: the orientation-degree ratio of particles in the ferromagnetic powder for the magnetic layer is 0.85 or lower; in addition, said magnetic layer and said nonmagnetic layer contain components which are expressed by Formulas I, II; and the content of the compound expressed by Formula I is at least 30wt.% or lower of the total amount of the compound expressed by Formula I and the compound expressed by Formula II. Preferably, R1 in Formula I is a 7C branched alkyl group. |
