<p>PURPOSE:To produce a voltage nonlinear resistor excellent in productivity and safety by enhancing adhesion between a ZnO element and an electrode thereby preventing malfunction due to exfoliation. CONSTITUTION:Granular powder mainly composed of zinc oxide is baked to produce a ZnO element 11 which is then polished and cleaned on the surface and rear thereof (step 1), applied with zinc naphthenate (step 2) and baked at 500-650 deg.C (step 3) to form a ZnO layer 12 on the polished surface of the ZnO element 11. The ZnO layer 12 is then subjected to chemical surface treatment (step 4) and immersed into electroless plating liquid for a predetermined time to be plated 13 (step 9), followed by provision of electrodes on the surface and the rear of the ZnO element 11. Furthermore, a sensitizer for adsorbing Sn ions having strong reducing power is applied(step 5) and an activator for adsorbing catalytic metal for chemical plating is also applied (step 7) after step 4 for the purpose of surface activation.</p> |
