PURPOSE:To provide an automatic equalizer capable of equalizing inter-code interference due to fading more efficiently in a demodulator for digital radio communication. CONSTITUTION:The system employing the demodulator is provided with an IF band transversal filter forward equalizer 61 receiving an intermediate frequency band modulation signal to equalize the lead component of inter-code interference, the demodulator 102 detecting the output of an IF band transversal filter type forward equalizer 61, extracting a base band signal, sampling and quantizing the signal, a base band full digital discrimination feedback backward equalizer 62 receiving a digital signal string being the output of the modulator and equalizing the delay component of inter-code interference, a 1st control signal generating circuit 63 outputting a tap coefficient to the IF band transversal filter type forward equalizer 61, and a 2nd control signal generating circuit 64 outputting a tap coefficient to the base band full digital deciding feedback backward equalizer 62. |
