PURPOSE:To process a picture different from each other at every area in the same document by designating a picture processing area at every black-and- white copy of an original document generated as an area designating document with a color marker to process the picture editing. CONSTITUTION:The area designating document obtained by designating the black-and-white copy of an original document (Om) with the color marker is read by a read means to output color picture information. A picture processing area discriminating means A discriminates the picture processing area (a) of the document Om based on the picture output, and a picture processing setting means B sets picture processing contents (b) to each area designating document. An Om read means C reads the document Om to output color picture information (c). A picture processing means performs the picture processing of the information (c) in accordance with contents (b) set by the means B respect to picture information corresponding to the area (a) discriminated by the means A and outputs the processing result.
