<p>PURPOSE:To lighten an operating burden imposed on an operator and to drastically increase the processing speed of the entire system by providing a hand mechanism, a cartridge loading/unloading mechanism and a cartridge moving mechanism. CONSTITUTION:As for the automatic change of a cartridge, plural cartridges 1 storing program data necessary for performing a series of data processing and processed data in an information processing system are housed in the specified rack of a magazine and set in this automatic changer, so that the cartridge moving mechanism is started according to a command from a host computer and the cartridge loading/unloading mechanism 20 where the hand mechanism 19 is mounted is moved to a position where it is opposed to the cartridge designated on the front surface of the magazine. Thus, the necessary cartridge is automatically loaded in a magnetic tape driving device.</p> |
