In a clay disc throwing mechanism comprising a disc-storage magazine for supplying a pivoted throwing-arm of the spring-actuated centrifugal action type, a double-acting jack is provided having an operating rod which is connected, on the one hand, tothe throwing- arm and, on the other hand, to a loading system which passes the discs one by one from the magazine to a pre-throwing position on the throwing arm, the jack being arranged to set the throwing-arm during its outward travel and to actuate the loading mechanism during its return travel. As shown, the mechanism comprises a base-plate 1, an orientable frame 2, a hydraulic jack 3, a unit 4 for throwing clay discs, a magazine 5 (operated by a pawl and racket mechanism) rotatably mounted on a stationary platform 6 and a coil spring 48. Electric circuits for operating the parts of the mechanism in the required order are described.</p> |
