PURPOSE:To control the increase of internal resistance with an activation current by providing a battery activation circuit which attains activation by letting a built-in battery to discharge activation current with an activation current control means which changes the effective value of discharged current according to ambient temperature. CONSTITUTION:During energizing of AC power source on and after time point t1, a transformer 1 generates a voltage, and during power failure of the AC power source prior to the time point t1, no voltage occurs. In response to this, an intermittent operation circuit 8 outputs output pulses of a constant time width at constant intervals on and after the time point t1. Further, an ambient temperature sensor 9 outputs what is proportional to the ambient temperature based upon the ambient temperature around a battery 5. A current control circuit 10 receives the outputs from the intermittent operation circuit 8 and ambient temperature sensor 9 to generates the output proportional to ambient temperature. An output circuit 11, based upon the output from the current control circuit 10, makes the battery 5 discharge activation current of the amount proportional to the ambient temperature. As a result, the activation current optimum for activating a battery is always permitted to flow. |
