<p>PURPOSE:To provide an exciting current controller for a generator which can stabilize an idling rotation of an engine with a high accuracy by a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:An exciting current flowing to an exciting coil 3 of a generator 1 is controlled by an exciting current controller 8. The controller 8 has a generation controller 10 for gradually increasing a conduction duty ratio of a switching element 9 when a battery voltage is lowered to a predetermined voltage or lower to be decided by a comparator 11. Further, the controller 8 has an inhibiting circuit 17 for inhibiting an increase in generation by the controller 10 when a rotating change speed of the engine 2 exceeds a predetermined value. If the rotation change speed of the engine 2 is lowered over a predetermined value, an increase in generation is inhibited, an increase in a generator torque due to an increase in generation is suppressed, and an idling rotation is stabilized.</p> |
