The wall trap (3) for a rubbish sack chute from building foyers or corridors consists of a frame (1) with a hinge pin (4) on bearings with the whole frame refractory coated on the foyer side, temperature controlled bolts (7) acting at 70 degrees, a fireproof joint (17) with properties of volume increase by polymerisation when temperature reaches 150 to 200 degrees. Frame out of vertical so trap weighs on it when closed. Spring controlled bolts operate by fuse melting above 70 degrees. The trap can have hydraulic or gas jacks or springs operation. USE/ADVANTAGES -Easy operation, takes all sizes of refuse sacks in common use, acts as a fire door.
