摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a stable laser which oscillates many wavelengths having uniform intervals by combining an array waveguide type diffraction grating constituted of optical waveguides with amplification medium like an LD. CONSTITUTION:This laser is provided with the following; a two-dimensional waveguide 3 having an input port, a plurality of 3-dimensional waveguides 3 which are different in length and connected with the 2-dimensional waveguide, and amplification medium 8 connected with the input end of the 2-dimensional waveguide. The other end of the 3-dimensional waveguide is connected with a high reflection factor termination 6. Further the following are installed; a first 2-dimensional waveguide having at least an input end, a second 2-dimensional waveguide having an output end, an optical circuit constituted of a plurality of 3-dimensional waveguides which are different in length and connect the first l 2-dimensional waveguide with the second 2-dimensional waveguide, r and amplification medium connected with the input end and the output end of the optical circuit.
