GENERATING CIRCUIT FOR MEMBERSHIP FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To produce a symmetrical trapezoidal (adverse trapezoidal) membership function in addition to a symmetrical triangular (V-shape) membership function in a simple procedure. CONSTITUTION:A membership function generating circuit of an analog type works in a voltage mode and is provided with a differential amplifier circuit 1 which generates the outputs V1 and V2 which are complementary to each other and a head cutting circuit 2 which compares both outputs V1 and V2 with each other to generate a symmetrical and triangular membership function and also cuts the head of the triangular membership function with the external input voltage VT to generate a trapezoidal membership function.
