PURPOSE:To prevent only the semiconductor device having a protective circuit from stopping the operation by detecting beforehand the protective circuit operating and inhibiting the operation of the entire system, when operating the semiconductor device having the protective circuit and other semiconductor device in systematic combination. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of a system, which includes an IC having an overheat protective circuit 2, goes up to the vicinity of, for example, 125 deg.C, Tr16 is turned on with a transistor(Tr) 7 off, and the potential of a contact C becomes 0V lower than the potential of a contact B. And, Trs 20 and 24, and Trs 27 and 28 connected in a current mirror are turned on, and accompanying this, Tr 29 is turned off, and the control voltage applied to a microcomputer 31 changes from low level to high level. Accordingly, the microcomputer 31 outputs a command signal for inhibiting the operation by resetting the whole IC constituting the system right before an overheat protective circuit 2 operates. Hereby, the malfunction of the system can be prevented. |
