The package is made from a cardboard blank which is pre cut and carries ore arranged fold lines to form a base and cover. The cover is in the shape of a tray and has an octagonal face (11). It is of the same dimensions as the base. The cover is formed by folding the main flaps (4, 21, 22, 23) which are arranged about the face opposite to one another in pairs arranged perpendicular to the adjacent face.3 The flaps are folded about fold lines and are shaped as identical isosceles trapeziums whose small bases are formed by the fold lines. The flaps form the main side panels (12, 13, 14, 15) of the cover. They are held in position by angle flaps (24) shaped as triangles which are attached to the top face of the cover and adhered to the extremities of the adjacent trapeziums. The base has at least one flap (6) that can adhere to one of the main side panels of the cover. USE/ADVANTAGE - For packaging bakery products such as tarts or flans. Can be assembled filled and closed using mechanical methods.
