PACKET FORMATION SYSTEM FOR IMAGE CODING DATA

摘要

PURPOSE:To localize the deterioration of the picture quality caused by the loss of cells and to prevent the extreme deterioration of quality of the reproduced pictures by adding the information showing the position of coding unit emerging in a packet to the packet unit. CONSTITUTION:The information SP showing the position of the coding unit emerging in a packet is added to the packet unit so that the coding units can be decoded at and after the first one in an optional packet and is transferred. At the receiver side, the coding unit can be taken out of the packet based on the information SP and then can be decoded based on the position information in its own screen included in the coding unit. If the position information on the coding unit and included in the coding unit is identical with such a kind of information that is hard to know the position in the screen of the decoded coding unit like a relative address of an H.261 system for example, the information AA showing the position of the coding unit shown in a screen by the information SP included in the packet is also added to the packet unit.
