PURPOSE:To provide the information recording and reproducing method, of an optical disk, wherein information which has been recorded on the optical disk by using a laser beam for information recording can be reproduced, and to provide its apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A laser for information recording is divided into three beams in the track direction of an optical disk at a prescribed light-intensity ratio by means of a diffraction grating 215. Pits which correspond to information are formed by means of a first laser beam L1 in the center. A beam of reflected light from a second laser beam L2 with which an information unrecorded part has been irradiated and a beam of reflected light from a third laser beam L3 with which an information recorded part has been irradiated are photodetected individually; the reflected-light intensity of the third laser beam L3 is standardized by the reflected light intensity of the second laser beam L2; recorded information is reproduced. Consequently, since information recorded on the optical disk 1 can be monitored in real-time, the intensity or the pulse width of the laser beam can be corrected in real-time by using a monitored result so that proper pits can be formed. |
