PURPOSE:To improve the operability, decrease a feeling of complicatedness, and obtain more regular customers by automatically recognizing the start and end of self-scanning operation by a customer and performing registering operation. CONSTITUTION:A 2nd weigher 32 weighs the total weight W2 of a shopping basket and all purchased commodities and the weight M (total weight data A) obtained by subtracting the weight Wc of the shopping basket from the total weight W2 is stored in a 2nd weight area. Then, the customer takes one purchased article out, performs scanning operation by using the fixed scanner device 41 at an operation part 4, and mounts the commodity on the carrying conveyor 51 of a carry-in and weighing part 5. Then, the set weight data V on the commodity is read out of an article file, the actual weight data W1 on the commodity mounted on the carry-in conveyor 51 is weighed by a 1st weigher 52, and when both weight data are equal to each other and the identity is decided, the carry-in conveyor 51 and a carry-out conveyor 61 begins to be operated to send the commodity to a stock place 71. |
