PURPOSE:To provide a driver for a brushless motor in which a bipolar transistor can be used as a switching element in the case where its rotating speed is a special speed or more. CONSTITUTION:The driver for a brushless motor comprises a switching element 5 for turning ON, OFF a motor current, rotor position detecting means 3 for instructing ON/OFF of the element 5 in relation to a position of a rotor 2, and an exciting phase switching circuit for supplying ON/OFF signal to the element 5 according to a command generated from the means 3. The switching circuit has means 7 for setting a period for turning ON the element 5 to the same as or shorter than a period instructed from the means 3. |
