<p>PURPOSE:To improve the brightness and the color rendering property of a light receiving surface on which a light is radiated by a lighting optical system. CONSTITUTION:A vertical lighting type metal halide lamp 13 to which a pair of electrodes are provided, and mercury, a rare gas, and metal halide are sealed; and a light collecting cold mirror 14 which consists of a paraboloid or a ellipsoid; are combined so as to make the opening of the light collecting cold mirror 14 face upward. A spherical mirror 15 is provided to the outer side of the light collecting cold mirror 14 to collect the light near the coldest part A of the luminous part of the metal halide lamp 13, and the metal halide lamp 13 is composed by providing no opaque heat insulating membrane.</p> |
