MANUFACTURE OF MULTILAYER METAL-CLAD LAMINATE

PURPOSE:To prevent effectively occurrence of molding creases of the end parts of metal leaf of an outermost layers by disposing an inner layer material so that it does not overlap with a glass cloth fray preventing end part of a prepreg and by forming a laminate by applying heat and pressure. CONSTITUTION:Prepregs 3 prepared by impregnating glass cloth with resin and metal leaves 4 of outermost layers are laminated on an inner layer material 2 on which circuits 1 are formed and they are molded to be integrated. In this postforming, the inner layer material 2 is disposed so that it does not overlap with glass cloth fray preventing end parts 5 of the prepregs 3. Even when the glass cloth subjected to a fray preventing treatment is used for the prepregs, this method enables manufacture of a multilayer metal-clad laminate in which occurrence of creases of the metal leaves of the outermost layers is suppressed in molding of a multilayer board and, in addition, of which the performance and quality are not lowered in the molding.
