PURPOSE:To set plural systems of different bridge systems into a LAN and to attain a remote and wide system by providing a source routine SR, logic executing means, a transparent bridge TB executing means, etc., to a remote bridge device. CONSTITUTION:A remote bridge 11 connected to a LAN 4 is provided with an SR logic executing means, a TB executing means, a MAC protocol data unit MPDU deciding means, etc. Then the SR and TB logics are executed and transmitted with correspondence secured to the SR and TB respectively. Meanwhile the logic addressed to its own LAN is disused and the logic addressed to another LAN is outputted to the relevant LAN. In such a constitution, plural systems of different bridge systems are set into the same LAN together with increase of the inter-bridge distance. Then a remote and wide system is attained with a remote bridge device.
