摘要 Device for loading a catalyst in the form of extrusions or pellets which are effectively cylindrical and where the height (h) is pref. equal to or greater than the dia. (d) of the cross section of the cylinder, into a reactor contg. at least one tubular inlet of dia. (D) greater than the dia. (d) of the pellets, characterised in that it contains a vibrating receiver (1) which can contain at least some of the catalyst pellets. This vibrating receiver has on its inside face at least one groove (2) whose lower edge (3), directed towards the bottom and the centre of the receiver is effectively horizontal or slopes towards the outside of the receiver. The groove has a depth (p) greater than the dia. (d) of the pellet and less than twice this dia. and spirals towards the top from the base of the receiver up to a tubular outlet (4) passing through the wall of the receiver. The tubular outlet has an internal dia. (d1) which is at least equal to and at most twice the dia. (d) of the catalyst pellets. The tubular outlet is connected to the tubular inlet of the reactor by means which allow the transfer of the pellets from the outlet to the inlet. The vibrating receiver is mounted on a support (5) generating the vibrations which gives the pellets a rotational movement about the axis (XX') of the system, driving the pellets to drop into the groove and to progressively move up to the tubular outlet of the receiver. USE - The loading of reactors with catalysts in the form of cylindrical pellets (claimed). For example, the loading of a multitube reactor for the mfr. of ultrapure hydrogen, where the tubes have an internal dia. of about 23 mm. and a vol. of about 400 cubic centimeters and the input tube has a dia. of about 8 mm. The pellets are approximately 4 mm. high and 4 mm. in dia. Each tube needs about 5600 pellets, so in a modest reactor of 20 tubes, if the pellets are put in one by one by hand, the reloading takes about 24 hrs. or three working days. This device allows the pellets to be loaded one by one without risk of blockages and at a much greater speed.
