In a Peltier or Seebeck unit having many thermoelectric limbs connected in series by bridges each limb is formed by (for example) two, four or eight identical elongate legs extending side by side between the two bridges at opposite ends of the limb. This construction eliminates the possibility of total failure of the unit arising from a single faulty leg or from a single faulty bond between a leg and one of its two bridges. |
