Periodically arranged wall faults are provided in the wave guide. The spacing between the faults is equal to the quotients of 2 pi and the sum of the wave number of the propagating wave and the wave number of a microwave filtered out of the frequency spectrum. The faults form a Bragg reflector which provides an in-phase coupling between the incoming waves and a reverse wave generated by the coherent dispersal at the faults.
