PURPOSE:To reproduce colors of color print separation plates with a simple circuit by generating directly three primary color signals from primary colors by subtractors and mixing properly signals, which are obtained by adding the India ink color to these three primary color signals, to compensate for half tones. CONSTITUTION:Primary color signals (c), (m), (y) and bl indicating dot area rates which are obtained by scanning 4 C, M, Y, and India ink print separation plates are applied to a level adjuster 51, and signals alpha1c, beta1m, and gamma1y are generated by variable resistors 52-54. These primary color signals and the India ink color signal are supplied to a subtractor 55 and are supplied to the first India ink color mixer 60 including multipliers 61-63 also. Further, they are supplied to the second India ink color mixer 64 to generate intermediate three primary color signals R', G', and B'. For the purpose of adding half tones to these signals, these signals are supplied to a color mixer 68 having matrix resistors 69-77. Proportions of mixed colors in the color mixer 68 are determined in accordance with the quantities of red, green, and blue lights reflected by secondary colors my, cy, and cm of a used ink. |
