A switch actuator for a pivotally mounted gate safety circuit. The actuator has a shaft which is rotatable about its longitudinal axis, the shaft being aligned with a hinge axis of the safety gate. A cam supported by the shaft defines a cam surface against which a switch actuating plunger bears. The plunger is received within a recess defined by the cam surface when the safety gate is closed but is lifted out of that recess when the safety gate is opened. To enable adjustment of the position of the cam surface recess, the cam surface is defined by two relatively displaceable cam parts, displacement of the cam parts adjusting the circumferential position and width of the recess. |
