The present invention relates to pyrimidine-5-carboxanilides of the formula I, to their tautomers and their acid addition salts, in which R<1> denotes optionally substituted alkyl or cycloalkyl, R<2> and R<3> are identical or different and denote hydrogen or have the other meanings given in the description, R<4> denotes hydrogen, acyl, optionally substituted alkyl or the like, R<5>-R<9> are identical or different and denote hydrogen or have the other meanings given in the description, methods for their preparation, compositions containing them, and their use as fungicides.
