The impeller (2) is mounted in front of or in a combustion chamber (1), with the impeller rotating with heat transfer elements (11). The impeller is surrounded by a perforated burner jacket (6) on the suction side (14), with combustion taking place on jacket outside (8). Pref. flue gas is supplied additionally to the impeller suction side. The flue gases may be used, at least partly, for combustion air preheating after passing through the heat transfer elements. USE/ADVANTAGE - For central heating etc., with min. pollutants and compact design.
