The water is heated in the tubes and not in the conventional manner across an external heat source. The heater uses the direct effect of the microwaves on the water molecules. No triple energy conversion results. The heater appliance consists of a combination of a microwave transmitter and a conventional continuous flow heater. It includes a hot water delivery connection (1), a cold water supply (2), a metal grid (3) as well as the microwave transmitter (4), a metal housing (5) and the glass tubular system (6). ADVANTAGES - Current consumption, prodn. costs and service and maintenance are considerably reduced.
