The monitoring method involves forming gas bubbles in a liquid as ultrasonic reflectors with a dia. of between 0.5 and 100 microns. The liquid is exposed to a pressure of less than 1.0 bars in a measurement tube. It has a viscosity of greater than 100 milli-Pa.s. The liquid can be an adhesive, e.g. an anaerobic adhesive, or an adhesive component. The measurement tube (5) can be arranged in a line (4) leading from a reservoir container (2) to an outlet point (6) for the liquid and has a vol. dispensing device. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for monitoring and measuring flow of adhesive in measurement tube. Problem-free measurement is achieved by producing unambiguous Doppler signals without affecting properties of liquid being measured.
