PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized and inexpensive optical pickup which is strong against the wavelength fluctuation of a light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser chip 1 is mounted on a submount, and a half mirror 2 reflects a laser beam radiated from the laser 1 so as to focus the laser beam on the information recording surface of an optical disk 4 by a concave mirror 3. The laser beam reflected on the disk 4 reversely follows the path, and is reflected by the mirror 3, transmitted through the half mirror 2, and detected by a light receiving element 5. The entire optical system is constituted of the above members, and sealed by a package 6a formed of resin. The package 6a is driven in a focusing direction and a tracking direction by an actuator, thereby the entire optical system is driven to make a light spot follow up the surface waving and the eccentricity of the disk. |
