<p>A tennis serve training device (10) is provided which is preferably in the shape of a tennis racquet (100) and which has a beam of collimated light (214) that emits from the butt (108) of the handle thereof. The training device (10) is used in conjunction with a vertical wall (300), in front of which the player is positioned. The wall (300) has lines provided thereon which correspond to the appropriate lines of movement of the tennis player's hand and racquet during a tennis serve or overhead hit. The collimated light (214) from the racquet (100) defines the pattern of the error term of each trial relative to the specific goal line on the wall (300). The clarity, concurrence and perspective of the error term feedback accelerates motor skill learning.</p> |
