In a process for producing nonwoven in which a card web is laid in a zig-zag on a discharge belt moving transversely to the card discharge direction, where the card web emerges vertically from a delivery device moved to and fro in a horizontal plane over the width of the discharge belt, several card web layers are laid at a folding angle upon the discharge belt corresponding to the relationship between the discharge speed of the belt and the folding rate of the card web, the card web is diverted at least once before being laid on the discharge belt, and the axis of the diversion is at an angle to the perpendicular to the edge of the card web and forms a compensation angle for the angular errors existing on the discharge belt. |
