A composition to hold hair in place based on an alcohol or water-alcool solution contains film-building agents, solvents, propellants and usual cosmetic components. A uniform and satisfactory spraying of the total contents of the spraying can is ensured by using a mixture of a propellant which is insoluble or hardly soluble in the solution and of a propellant of which at least 40 % by volume are soluble in the solution at 20 DEG C and under 1 bar partial pressure. The mass ratio between these propellants lies between 3:1 and 1:10. The viscosity of the solution lies between 1.5 and 10mPas at 20 DEG C.
