Solid cage for rollers - has holder projections with curved outer sections, and inclined ramps on side rings of cage

The bearing cage is mfd. by a cutting method. It has side rings, webs between the rings, and holder projections on the rings. These engage into recesses in the roller end faces. The projections (3) have curved jacket sections (10), which act with the circumference of the recesses. Ramp surfaces (4) extend from a circumferential surface (8) and the roller stop faces (6) of the side rings (1), and merge at an angle into the end face (5) of the projections. Ramps and end faces are located in the same plane. The projections have a mainly elliptical profile. USE/ADVANTAGE - Holder projections on solid bearing cage permit simple fitting of rollers and low-noise running of bearing.
