On the underside of the stack (1) is a locating body (4) which is of a material usable for insulating purposes and is connected with the stack (1) encompassing it (1) by means of a common sheet (6,7). Two locating bodies are arranged crossways to the longitudinal extent of the stack and spaced apart on the underside of the stack. The locating bodies extend over the complete width of the stack, and each of them is connected to the stack by means of a sheeting strip (6,7). The distance of the inner edges of the locaitng body from one another is approx. double that of the outer edges of the adjoining stack edges. The horizontally stacked vertically adjacent insulating material plates (2,3) and the locating bodies are of mineral wool, pref. stone wool. The sheeting (6,7) is a stretch foil, pref. of polyethylene, and on the locating bodies an elastic colour film, pref. of butyl rubber or latex is fitted. USE/ADVANTAGE - A transport unit with which the expenditure for transport packing is noticeably reduced for economical and ecological reasons.
