The vertical siffer includes horizontal sifting effects to attain a high degree of operating efficiency and is fitted inside a corn preparation installation. The vertical sifter includes two or more channels each of which are fitted with throttles at the end of the sifting channel. The lower section of the sifter is angled and an edge is fitted on the rear wall of the sifter acting as a baffle with the material being entered into the sifter through a special inlet slide. The front channels start the sorting process with the goods separated by the last channel and the wind speed for each channel is controlled by throttles.
