PURPOSE:To execute acceleration-stressed speed change when it is impossible to judge whether D range for allowing high-speed stage (OD) is selected or 4 range for inhibiting (OD cut) the high speed stage is selected. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration-stressed speed change pattern is set when a second switch 44S2 has failure and when it is impossible to judge whether D range for allowing high-speed stage is selected or 4 range for inhibiting (OD cut) the high-speed stage is selected. Speed change is executed in accordance with the speed change pattern.
