PURPOSE:To reduce the driver's uncomfortable feeling upon speed change after escaping from truning by providing a speed change shift inhibition cancel means which provide speed change inhibition cancel conditions consisting of a non- turning condition which is a vehicle behavior condition and an accelerator operation condition requiring a change in engine driving power. CONSTITUTION:If straight travelling is switched to turning travelling, a speed change inhibition initiation means (f) outputs a speed change inhibition initiation instruction to an automatic transmission speed change means (c) when a turning detection means (d) detects the turning of the vehicle, thereby initiating speed change inhibition. If turning travelling is switched to straight travelling, a speed change inhibition cancel instruction is output to the automatic transmission gear shift means (c) to cancel speed change inhibition control when the turning detection means (d) detects non-turning and a value equivalent to the quantity of accelerator operation detected by an accelerator operation quantity equivalent value detection means (e) indicates an acceleration operation requiring a change in engine driving force, after the speed change inhibition initiation instruction is output. |
