PURPOSE:To smoothly operate an operation related with a character magnifica tion by directly designating the range and direction of a character string to be enlarged or reduced among the character strings displayed at a screen. CONSTITUTION:When a [character magnification] key 44c is pressed, a central control processing part 10 is started by signal information transmitted through an input control part 42, and a system is set in a mode for enlarging or reducing the displayed character string to a desired size. Then, the range of the character string information whose range is designated is inversion-displayed in a rectangular area, and fixed cursor marks KC are displayed at the four corner parts of the rectangular area. After the direction of the enlargement or the reduction is designated, the fixed cursor marks KC designated by a mouse part 46 or a cursor key 44g are moved, and the inversion-displayed rectangular area and the character string information are enlarged or reduced while being interlocked with each other. |
