PURPOSE:To prevent the update error or update omission of a date frequently displayed in a document by automatically updating the date in the document by referring to a system date. CONSTITUTION:At the time of preparing the document, an operator designates the date and a position (head) to be displayed in the document from a keyboard 7, and a normal mode is changed to a date input mode. Next, date display form information 8 is displayed at an input and output screen part 6 by a date display form designating means 2, and a display form to be displayed is designated by the keyboard 7. Then, the system date is read by a system date display means 3, and edited so as to be suited to the designated display form according to an editing method in the date display form information 8. Then, the edited content is displayed at the designated position in the document of the input and output screen part 6, and the date input mode is released, and returned to the normal mode. Therefore, the date can be displayed in the document by referring to the system date. |
