PURPOSE:To prevent a paper tray from being pulled out when an operator is within a range where the paper tray is pulled out, and the unexpected wound of the operator due to the sudden contact of the paper tray to the operator. CONSTITUTION:This paper feeder for a copying machine, for loading/unloading the paper tray 3 in the main body 2 of the copying machine 1, with power, is composed of a massage means informing the loading/unloading of the paper tray 3, obstacle detecting sensors 17a and 17b detecting an obstacle to the pulling out of the paper tray 3, and a pulling out action judging means judging that the pulling out action of the form tray 3 is variable, from the detection values of the obstacle detecting sensors 17a and 17b. |
